*This year we have two helpers with us again, who take care of the dog training with us:
Kai already came by here last summer on his hike across Norway. Back then he enjoyed the time with the dogs very much, now the trained chemist has been here since the beginning of September and is gradually learning what it means to train his own teams every day in all weathers.
Elvina has also been with us for a week. She worked with dogs in Alaska a few years ago. She has finished her studies in civil engineering and still remembers the time in Alaska so well that she will help out again as a dog trainer.
They will stay with us until mid-December, when our touring season begins, as it does every year. But until then there is still a lot to do: the new house is not finished yet, food has to be prepared and the sledges have to be overhauled. So, who would have thought, it won’t be boring here…*

I am Merle and come from Flensburg. Since I have always enjoyed working in nature and with animals, I came here to Innset for the first time after graduating from high school. The training season 2021 was followed by two shorter stays in spring and summer 2022, since then I know: even without snow it is really nice up here! So this is already my 4th assignment, I know the dogs and the different tasks around the farm really well by now and could discover the nicest corners around here. And now I’m looking forward to showing them to you!
